FoSL's 2019 Annual General Meeting will be held at 7.30pm on Wednesday 18th April at the Baptist Church Hall, Field Way, Mill End. This year's guest speaker will be Paul Barritt of the Halle and Tring Chamber Orchestras. Paul spoke to us once before at an AGM just a few years ago and he fascinated us then with his talk, punctuated with recordings and the occasional violin recital to illustrate his points, on the influence of bird song in classical music. This year Paul returns by popular demand.

Our 2018 AGM was held on Wednesday 11th April. Minutes of the meeting can now be downloaded from here. The guest speaker was John Little of the Grass Roof Company. John gave a brilliant and inspiring talk on how brownfield sites can become very productive and important nature reserves, and how what we normally regard as rubbish, e.g. scrap metal, broken up concrete, ceramics, bricks, etc can become the basis for plentiful wild flowers, insects, birds and small animals..
