As you know, we have the FoSL annual Butterfly and Dragonfly walk scheduled for Sunday 6 July.
Attached is a photo of a Norfolk Hawker (so named because until now, it was mainly seen in Norfolk). However, it seems that it is beginning to 'spread its wings' to different counties.
Last week, Wednesday 25 June, whilst working on the monthly Wildflower Survey in the Cattle Meadows, the Norfolk Hawker was seen. It created quite a bit of excitement, as we believe it may be the first sighting in the area.
It was moving too fast for us to take a photo. However, attached is one taken at College Lake on 18 June. Fingers crossed that we see one on Sunday 6 July
